Whether in a coaching relationship, classroom, or executive boardroom, I leverage my management experience and psychology background in raising awareness, provoking stimulating discussion, and turning plans into action. Through an engaging style, I create a ''safe container'' for quality conversation. I believe that ''awareness'' is a precondition for change, and considers myself an ''awareness expert.''
Nothing about ourselves can be changed until it is first accepted.
While I'm open to ''going deep,'' I also embrace an old Zen saying: When the student is ready, the teacher appears. I believe that readiness is more important than technique. Towards this end, I do not search for quick fixes or pat answers. Instead of seeking ''the right answer,'' I believe there are only ''right answers.'' I help senior executives realize their noblest visions, values, and ideas. I support the alignment of thinking and actions with goals. I describe this as stretching visions, values, and abilities.
Dr. Walker is author of Theory T: The Power of Trust In a Chaotic Society.
Dr. Walker's background includes senior management experience over several years. He has served as Director of Diversity and Senior Consultant (Member of Senior Executive Services) with NASA Glen Research Center in Cleveland, Ohio. As social architect for a culture change project, New Leadership Strategy, he received special recognition from Vice-President Al Gore. His exemplary work became the national ''Model Workplace.'' He is listed in International Who's Who of Professionals.

Early in Dr. Walker's career, he also held the position of CEO and owner of The Good Life Health Food Centre. This was a successful business venture he started in Los Angeles dedicated to holistic health for over 10 years. He has also held the position of Training Manager and Organizational Psychologist with Cal Tech Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Pasadena, California, for several years.

Prior to organizational training, Dr. Walker spent eighteen years in academia teaching organizational behavior, psychology, sociology, business management, and inter-cultural studies (bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral levels), and serving on doctoral committees.
Dr. Jack Gibb mentored me during my doctorate study in Organizational Psychology. Jack is known for his pioneering work in integrating organizational development theory, research, and practice. I have extensive training in a wide range of psychometric instruments. I also hold a Lifetime Counseling Certificate from the State of California. I earned a certificate from the Gestalt Institute of Cleveland in Organization and System Development as a part of an 18-month post-graduate program.
